Introduction
Welcome to the Matsuura Laboratory IIS Open House 2011 Web site.
In 2011, IIS Open House will again be held on June 3 (Fri.), and 4 (Sat.) at Komaba Research Campus, Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo.
In Matsuura Laboratory, we will present our research related to information security and cryptography.

Date and Time
2011/6/3(Fri.) 10:00 - 17:00
2011/6/4(Sat.) 10:00 - 17:00
Research Topics
Cryptography
Theory of Cryptography
We introduce the research of the relation of security notions, generic constructions of signcryption schemes which are secure in the multi-user setting, and so on.
Multi-Authority Spacial Encryption with Constant Size Ciphertexts and Shorter Private Keys
In this study, we propose the multi-authority spacial encryption scheme. Our scheme has the constant size cipher text, and the size of the decryption key does not depend on the number of the private key generators.
Digital Signature
Signature schemes providing enhanced functionality and security guarantees play an increasingly important role in the design of digital security systems. In our research, we focus on the development of schemes with a wide range of enhanced properties including limited verifiability, anonymity, non-transferability, delegatable verification and proxy signing.
Implementation of Timed-Release Encryption.
ID-Based encryption (IBE) is one of public-key encryptions. In IBE, we can set an arbitrary public key. Timed-Release Encryption (TRE) is constructed from IBE and other cryptographic algorithm. In TRE Scheme, a receiver can decrypt a ciphertext by using a time-release key which is provided after its release-time. We demonstrate TRE implement to offer visitors the opportunity to experience cryptography.
Information Security and Economics
Interdependency of Information Security
Interdependency between businesses might cause information security analyzed interdependency of information security to study specific characteristic of each industry and location regarding information security by using Japanese statistical data. The result is useful for setting public policy and making an investment decision in information security.
Computer Security
Detecting JIT Spraying Attacks by Monitoring Execution
It has been demonstrated that execution codes generated by JIT compile are abused for JIT Spraying attacks that can bypass security structures such as DEP and ASLR. We describe a execution monitoring method which detects JIT Spraying attacks so that the defender can stop programs before attack codes are executed.
Network Security
Analysis of cyber-attacks with Internet Threat Monitors
We are observing many types of circadian rhythms with Internet Threat Monitors. Estimate, compare, and analyze the circadian rhythms observed by Internet Threat Monitors with known circadian rhythms.
Common Research Dataset and Network Security Research
We present a brief description of the problem of common dataset and original dataset in network security research area, and a network security contest (MWS Cup 2010) held in the workshop (MWS) where researches using the common dataset were presented.
Anonymity System
Fingerprinting Attack on the Tor Anonymity System
We present a novel way to implement a fingerprinting attack against Onion Routing anonymity systems such as Tor. Our attack is a realistic threat in the sense that it can be mounted by nothing but controller of entrance routers, it can degrade this Tor's anonymity by a metric based on both incoming and outgoing packets.
